Originally presented to the public in 1934 by Cab Calloway, the jive is a fast, energetic dance derived from variations of the Swing, Lindy Hop, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Jitterbug, and Boogie-Woogie.

This uninhibited club dance was transferred to the UK by American soldiers around 1942, where it was gradually refined into the elegant and energetic ballroom Jive we know today.

Up-tempo music, sharp action and lots of bounce, kicks, and flicks, make Jive a joy to watch and even more fun to do!
