DLYMI - Courses Argentine Tango

Argentine Tango is very different from the Tango in International and American ballroom dancing. It is one of a small number of dances which emphasizes improvisation and spontaneity.

Developed initially at the end of the 19th century in the small cafes of the suburbs of Buenos Aires, the dance travelled to Paris where it spread widely, then came back and was embraced by the Argentinian upper-class.

Argentine Tango is like a private conversation, the emotion and energy of which changes and flows in response to the partners themselves, the environment, and the mood of the music.
